Fun Facilities
There’s a reason the fun never ends at Huggy Bear. This campground has plenty of fun for all ages. Facilities operate all season long to permanent campers and weekend visiters. They are also open to the public to have fun and enjoy the day with the whole family. Swimming Passes allow access to the pool, pond, and splash pad! Call or stop into the store, near the main entrance, for more information on all Huggy Bear has to offer!
Swimming Pools
The campground features two swimming pools on each side of the property. Both pools offer a shallow and deep end filled with clear blue water! Each pool is surrounded by lounge chairs for your enjoyment and relaxation. The South side pool near the front entrance is open to the public. Stop in the store to get your wrist band and join the fun!
Splash Pad
One of the newest attractions the campground has to offer. The Splash Pad is a huge hit with kids to run around and play in the water works. Parents enjoy watching the kids cool off as water shoots out of the ground and various outlets. Located directly in front of the store, it makes easy access to food, drinks, and a cool place to relax.
Ponds: Swimming & Fishing
Who knew the beach was so close to home?! The front pond offers a large, beach style access for plenty of fun in the sun. A must see is the floating climb and slide mountain in the middle of the pond. This 16 foot inflatable giant will make for a fun filled day! The opposite side of the pond is sectioned off to let campers experience some of the best fishing around. The enormousDog Bone pond is open for fishing only!
Mini-golf
Right in the middle of it all is a challenging 18 hole mini-golf course that is sure to please. Bring the family together for a little friendly competition to see who can master this course. Huggy Bear’s mini-golf course has all the traditional twists and turns with a few extra surprises!
Playgrounds
There is plenty of fun to be had on either of the two playgrounds located on the property. The front playground near the main entrance has a mini rock wall, three slides, and monkey bars! There is also a large sand box, huge wooden monster truck, and plenty of swings! There is a second playground in the back that offers plenty of enjoyment for the kids and is right near to the petting zoo!
Concert Stage
You don’t want to miss a weekend at Huggy Bear! Throughout the season they will feature live bands and singers from all over the state. The have become well known for their 4th of July Celebration and St Jude Benefit. Check the activities calander from upcoming shows and events!
Golf Cart Trails
You can take that golf cart off the beaten path and take a trip through nature in style! Don’t have a golf cart? No problem. Just visit the store and rent one of ours for the weekend! Escape from the bustle of the campground and take a ride down our golf cart trails, located in the back of the campground.
Horse Shoe’s & Shuffle Board
Keeping the classics alive at the campground by offering multiple horse shoe pits for anyone to enjoy. The pits are located in the back and the horse shoes are there waiting for you! Beside the mini-golf course you can also find shuffle boards! Stop in the store to grab the equipment!
Sports Fields & Courts
All of your favorite sports within walking distance from your front door. Near the front playground, you can find a full basketball court to start a pick up game or just shoot around. Right next to that, you will find people enjoying a game of volleyball on the sand court! Toward the back of the campground, we constructed a baseball diamond as well as a soccer field. Get out there and enjoy the beautiful weather while playing your favorite sport.
Comfort Facilities
The fun never ends at Huggy Bear, but that is only one of the reasons that it is so hard to leave. The comfort facilities that the campground offers all of it’s campers will make your stay feel like a second home. Everything you will need to make the most of your Huggy Bear experience is all here for your satisfaction! They offer everything from hearty meals to hot showers to make sure that you are comfortable throughout your stay.
Store - Office - Resturant
The Store is the heart of Huggy Bear Campground. Anything you could need, you will be able to find right inside here. They have food, drinks, supplies, medicine, camper parts, souveniers, and so much more! Check out their online menu to see all the fresh food options that they offer out of their kitchen. Did you forget to pack soap, sunscreen or tylenol? The store carries a full selection of your favorite daily esentials, so there’s no need to go to the grocery. If you have any quesitons or want additional information, stop by the store and we will be happy to help you!
Restrooms & Showers
You’re never far from our facilities when nature comes calling. We have several restrooms located through out the campground and even bring in mobile restrooms when hosting our larger events. Whether you’re staying in a tent spot or just want to enjoy a larger shower, you can enjoy a hot shower at our facilites attached to the store. Soap, Shampoo, Toothpaste and any other daily comfort products and be found right inside the store.
Laundry Room
No one wants to bother with laundry when they are relaxing and having fun, however, sometimes there is no choice. If you find yourself in that position, you need not worry because Huggy Bear has you covered. They offer affordable washers and dryers to get your clothes clean and smelling fresh so you can continue to enjoy the good times! They also have detergent, fabric softner, and dryer sheets for sale inside the store!
Recreation Buildings
Huggy Bear offers the best location to host your next event! They have several buildings on the property that are perfect to have your graduation party, birthday party, wedding reception, or any other large gathering. They are fitted with plenty of seating and one building is equipped with a HUGE projection TV. They fill up quickly, so call the office for pricing and availability!
Trash & Recycling
Let’s work together to help preserve the enviroment and properly dispose of your recyclables. Excess waste and garbage doesn’t need to be taken home with you. Just head to the back of the campground and throw away your garbage and we will take care of the rest. We have a clean campground and love to keep it that way for all current and future visitors.
Cabins
You can still enjoy everything the campground has to offer, even if you don’t own a camper or RV. Instead of sleeping in a tent for the weekend, you can get one of our cabins which is right in the middle of it all. These cabins sleep up to 6 people and have a TV, Microwave, Air Conditioning, and private bathroom with a shower. They go quickly so don’t wait! Call the office and get your reservation booked today!
